July 2020

I can hardly believe July has come and gone.

Hubby and I braved our 1st outside restaurant
eating experience since the pandemic began in March.

We visited the Kitchen Witch.  It was so delicious.

My poached eggs are on Olive Bread.  Oh gosh love it.

I am a lipstick girl! I love wearing my lipstick
and big bold lips.

This mask thing is cramping my style. HAH

Anyone with me???

Happy 4th of July

I will confess. I love our country. I love patriotism.
I love our Flag. I love our freedom and am so grateful.

With all that said I am not a fan of the 4th of July

It was the weekend that my precious westie had to be
put down and sadly it always brings that sad memory.

I don't do fireworks as I get eaten alive by bugs.🐞

People in my neighborhood start with fireworks months before
and months after and it super annoying.

Usually glad to see it go :(

I love hay bales. I don't even know why I just love them
Lis Curtis Higgs posted this glorious photo !

Still going through the pandemic.
Fortunately our state had been doing better
and the numbers were going down.

Great word of encouragement from Patsy !

How can the days feel so long and yet the months scurry?
Covid-19 has certainly been jarring to our world. It’s changed our plans, highlighted our loneliness, increased our anxiety, impacted our economy, exposed our frailty…
In and through this journey Jesus remains who He has always been. Savior, Shepherd, Counselor, Healer, Companion, etc.
Remember Hagar from the Old Testament? She and her son were thrown out of Abraham and Sarah’s caravan into the desert alone. No flashlight, no funds, no food. It looked hopeless for them until she met “the God who sees.”
The Lord is not in hiding nor is he blind to our suffering. He not only sees, but he has a master plan that’s locked in place. At no point has he been unaware, taken aback, shocked, unprepared, or helpless. He has a history from before “the beginning” of being Able, Strong, and Sure. We are the ones with weak knees, unfaithful hearts, and wobbly convictions. God’s response to our frailty is Jesus. The One who rescues and heals us from our sin and the sin of others.
Covid-19 is a constant threat, inconvenience, and disruption, however, it doesn’t determine our destiny. That’s locked in place. Jesus sees. He remains our Sovereign, Compassionate, Provisional God.
Dear ones the Lord is here and near to the broken-hearted, the weak, the sick, the lost, and all those who call upon his dear name. He offers us strength for the long day and dark nights.
So let’s buckle on our armor (and our mask, when appropriate), rise up into our gifts, calling, and our courage. Let’s spread our Christ inheritance of joy, hope, love, and light. Hard times and desert places is where he does some of his deepest heart work.
Braveheart’s let us raise Christ’s banner and sing his praise!
Love, Patsy Clairmont.

I was so sad to hear Nick Cordero passed from Covid. He fought so long and hard.
I was pulling and praying for him. Keeping his wife and baby in prayer.

When your bananas get too ripe and you are left with no choice but to make 3 ingredient muffins with chocolate chips of course. Oh they were good !

Our Pastor posted this and I love it !

Anoint my head with oil
“Sheep can get their head caught in briers and die trying to get untangled. There are horrid little flies that like to torment sheep by laying eggs in their nostrils which turn into worms and drive the sheep to beat their head against a rock, sometimes to death. Their ears and eyes are also susceptible to tormenting insects. So the shepherd anoints their whole head with oil. Then there is peace. That oil forms a barrier of protection against the evil that tries to destroy the sheep. Do you have times of mental torment? Do the worrisome thoughts invade your mind over and over? Do you beat your head against a wall trying to stop them? Have you ever asked God to anoint your head with oil? He has an endless supply! His oil protects and makes it possible for you to fix your heart, mind, and eyes on Him today and always! There is peace in the valley! May our good good Father anoint your head with oil today so that your cup overflows with blessings! God is good and He is faithful!!”

Oh and I love this too !

I thought this was great from Kathy T

He told the wind to pipe down and said to the sea,
“quiet! settle down!”
the wind ran out of breath, the sea became smooth as glass.”
mark 4
the wind ran out of breath...
some days i am filled with anger over what is happening in this nation.
then as quickly as the anger leaves—my soul grieves.
there are winds of—
sheer madness
blatant injustice
seething hatred
there are winds of—
rampant disease
immense sorrow
devastating loss
a storm is raging—
a war is going on way beyond what we see.
pray with me, friend...
that God would once again speak to the winds—
and these destructive gales in our land would run out of breath.
our anger and grief will continue to rise up—
but, He can speak to those winds too...
filling us with inner peace.
love, kt

Had a little fun with making a Disney Photo

Praying August brings healing to our country.
Praying it brings a goodbye to this pandemic
Praying it brings good health to those suffering
Praying we don't lose all we have learned through this time
