New Camara

I bought a new camara with a gift card from my mother-in-law. I had been using those "throw-away" camaras but I find it is getting harder and harder to get them developed and the cost keeps going up. My new camara is digital and bright red ! wow I love it. Only problem I have to read the directions and learn how to work it. I can learn my computer pretty well I can put anything together if I have directions, but for some reason camara's puzzle me. LOL I swear I've read the directions 100 times but it doesn't sink in. I want to focus and shoot and have a photo. Well we'll see how it goes . . . hopefully I'll be adding more photo's to my blog soon . . .

Brunch, Movie, Shopping, Dinner

We had a full day ! It was a blessing. Met my mother-in-law and sister-in-law in NYC to celebrate sister-in-law Linda's birthday. First stop was Lusky's a great place for brunch. Then we headed off to the IMAX theater to see Jim Carey in Christmas Carol. Okay I get bad motion sickness so I wasn't sure how I would do. I didn't realize that if you don't wear the 3-D glasses at IMAX you can't really see the movie it is blurry. So I had to leave them on the whole time. I did okay but I was a bit nauseous. LOL I had to close my eyes a few times or my "brunch" would have appeared. yikes too much information. I guess I learned I can't do 3-D movies. Enjoyed the movie inspite of my crazy motion sickness. Then hubby and I headed to Columbus Circle for some Kiosk shopping - I had a special gift to buy (if you read my blog today you know who you are :) Then it was dinner time so we visited our favorite Vietnamese restaurant Saigon Grille. We get the same exact thing every time. Afraid to branch out, but I do really love what I get. And I am proud of myself today. I actually ate 1/2 and will have some for dinner tomorrow. My hubby is very good and always has bring home - not me I usually eat it all LOL But today, I am learning . . .

Relaxing Sunday

Having a relaxing Sunday. I like those. Went to church. I love each week when we light the Advent candle as Christmas grows closer. We sang all Christmas carole's this week and it was great. Did some grocery shopping and picked up a gift for my hubby. But other then that it has been relax, computer, tv and fun. I did spend extra time outside with Solomon. Living in an apartment and not having a fenced in yard I think he sometimes gets cabin fever. Poor guy. So I took him for a longer walk and sat out on our front porch steps. This is one of his favorite things. He watches the cars go bye and just eats it up. Also it is Mom's attention 100%, I'm sure that makes it even more fun. Brought him in and played a little ball with him. Being 12 1/2 years old he runs after the ball about 4 times then it is OVER. hah Now he is dead asleep in his bed. Wonder if any good movies are on Lifetime tonight? I just love some of these corney cheesey Christmas Lifetime movies. My favorite is Three Days with Kristen Davis.

Date Night

Had a blessed afternoon and evening with my hubby. We went to see The Blind Side. My gosh after reading everyone's blog who had already seen it I just had to get with it. Everyone was right. It was a great movie. So inspiring, eye-opening, moving. My husband really enjoyed it also and he is not a sports fan. When we went into the movie at 3:30 it was pouring rain in NJ. Coming out of the movie 5:30 it was snowing . . . big huge beautiful snowflakes. Just so pretty. The ground was so wet from all the rain all day it was not sticking.

We headed off to dinner. Our favorite Mexican restaurant Janita's. Just love those Faitias and the black bean soup wow! After dinner we went out to our car it was once again raining. No more snow . . . :(

After seeing the movie, I just want to count my blessings even more . . .
thank you Lord <><

Christmas Tree & Village ho ho ho

I wanted to join in the fun and share our little tree and Christmas village. This tree was our first tree when we got married in 2007. I don't have a photo of our current tree and by the time I get my film developed it will be New Year hah

I like country decorations and old tin ornaments. The sign at the top reads: COUNTRY CHRISTMAS We laugh because I live in a very busy NJ right on a highway but I decorate like I live out in the country somewhere. Hey a girl can dream right !

I love the village. After Christmas I buy one new house and a few of the people each year. I especially love the little people making snow angels on the right side.

The reindeer behind the tree on the bottom right was my grandmothers. We always had this out under the tree every Christmas. It is very, very old. I love it.

Doggie in control ?

I got a real kick out of this photo. My dog is still trying to adjust to me having a husband. I think he thought he was my husband all these 8 years prior to my meeting my husband. hah

In this photo he just placed himself in my husbands spot as if to say "okay when do we eat and where is "he" going to sit?"
