Happy Independence Day 4th of July

This year since 4th of July fell on a
Thursday and we both have to work
tomorrow it sort of limited our plans.
But we sure made the best of it and are
having a wonderful day !

We both love upstate NY and I love
the mountains so we took a ride.

First breakfast at Cracker Barrel

The ride upstate is so beautiful  on the

Palisades Parkway.

Then we cross the Bear Mountain Bridge

We did some shopping at Hobby Lobby,

90% off sale -  I did so well !

 

My hubby is a huge lobster lover

I found this cute lobster frame for $3.00

It matches my home office of pink & green.

I remembered I had this photo from a trip

to Maine - just perfect fit.

 

 

Hubby really liked this for our kitchen.

Our kitchen is red and this looks perfect.

Since I just finished my bathroom in

leopard print this photo was perfect.

$3.00 yes 90% off rack

 

How perfect are these to sunflowers for

my bathroom !   Oh I love these finds.

 

After Hobby Lobby shopping we headed to

Cold Springs.  It is just a beautiful town

on the water. We stayed there on our wedding

night at a bed and breakfast.

Donald and Daffy out for a swim on the 4th

I over heard a Mom tell her child he couldn't climb

on the rocks because of rats.

It was all I could think of getting my photo. hah

 

Oh beautiful for spacious skies . . .

 

We had some sidewalk entertainment.

It was so hot ~ these guys were real troupers.

 

 

We stopped for a cold drink at Go-Go Pops.

 

They make delicious all natural pops.

 

We were much more thirsty than hungry so we

decided to try their Smoothies

 

WOW so good!

 

I had one called - Monkey Shine

Bananas, peanut butter, cocoa, low-fat milk

and honey.

 

Gar chose - Lassi 

Coconut, banana, yogurt, honey

 

How beautiful is this angel on

the stoop of this old church?

 

Too soon it was time to head back to NJ

 

 

I'm sure you have all heard and seen our

song:  Stronger Than the Storm.

Lovin' the signs at all the toll booths.

 

 

 

Well, time to sign off as hubby is going to make

our BBQ now. YUM schickhaus hot dog here I come.
