August I am usually happy to see you come and go.
Not a fan of hot weather and love the Fall. ππ
Happy Birthdayππ° in Heaven my sweet Solomonπ
I got a new hair cut. First time since Covid.
I am getting use to and liking the grey.
So nice not to buy hair dye and have to dye it and all the mess.
Love this quote:
Are you a distracted or a devoted follower of Jesus?
Call to Him.
Ask for His help in planting your feet in the footprints
He leaves so the evidence of where you've been is
evidence of where He's been.
Then the saddest and hardest thing has happened
Our precious little Percy just passed.
Just like that gone. ππ₯
Gary and I are so thankful for the 5 years we got to be your parents.
Last night Jesus called you home. Seems way to soon.
Our hearts are broken. π
We will miss you and love you forever our sweet Percy.
It brings me comfort to remember you our little
Percy and your amazingly gentle and sweet personality.
One of a kind for sure.
Oh how blessed we were to have found and adopted you.
You taught me so much. You were so patient.
Always happy to take second to Judah who has a more
demanding personality. You were happy to wait your turn.
You knew and trusted that we would not forget you
and would rest in that.
You taught me to be cautious yet brave. Not to allow fear
to stop me from trying new things. Anytime we would bring
something new in the house for you. I new bed, a new toy,
a new climbing post. Judah in his lack of caution and fear
would immediately jump, try, taste and see whatever it was.
But the thrill of new would last a very short time for him.
Not you, you would approach ever so slowly. Timidly.
You would reach out your paw slowly. Sniffing.
Eventually you would master it. It could take a few hours
or a few days. But eventually you were BRAVE !
The thrill would not leave you. You seemed to savor every
minute with what ever was new. You would go back to it time
and time again to enjoy it. You taught me when I am afraid
to yes approach cautiously but in time I too can be BRAVE and
master whatever the fear.
You taught me to enjoy each moment. Oh how you loved
“going to the window” A thousand times a day Gary or I would
“go to the window” with you. You would run ahead and leap up
and just wait for us to join you. And oh the pure JOY on your face
when I would open the window. You relished the smells and
sounds and sights. Your eyes grew to the size of quarters when
a bird would approach. If it was windy oh my - I could see the pure
JOY on your face as you closed your eyes and the wind blew
through your hair. Such a simple thing but you derived such pleasure.
So Perc I am going to try to be patient, to be cautious yet brave
and to savor each moment – I will never forget your life purpose
and the wonderful lessons you left behind and in sharing maybe
just maybe it will be a help for others.
Thank you sweet Percy-Doodle-Do. Soon and very soon . . .
Our hearts were open to adopt-recue another little guy.
Not to replace Percy but to honor him and to give
Judah a buddy.
Meet little Ara Azarian ππΈ
He is so precious. So sweet. So good.
We just know he was chosen for us by Percy and Jesus.π
Judah is doing his best to get along.
It is quite an adjustment for him.
We are keeping them gated until Judah feels
better. There is a little hissing and growling
coming from Judah. Trusting the Lord Judah
will get there.
Well praise God Judah came around much faster then
we thought. No more gates needed. π΅πΆ
And this boy Ara is quite the character
Then we received more very sad news. My dear friend
Rosie passed from cancer so quickly. She is my UK buddy.
She could make you laugh like no other.
I will always remember her accent and sayings.
We just loved her dearly ! π
My sweet hubby picked up Armenian Food for dinner one night
So good ! Mado Restaurant in Paramus.
Then we left the boys alone unattended for the first time and:
It went well. Both survived.
Well August you certainly were not
without your sorrows and joys !
Looking so forward to FALL πππ
