Our dear friend Shelly has been really struggling
this year with health problems.
She has been in and out of the hospital and
rehab on and off since January. She is having
great difficulty walking on her own.
Still doesn't really have a firm diagnosis.
Her hubby is 85, 15 years older then her and
he is not so well either. Very hard for them
trying to take care of each other.
She longs to get out of the house and live again.
Since my hubby had his Men's Retreat today
I thought it would be the perfect day to visit
Shelly and lift her spirits. She lives about 45
minutes south of us.
Shelly loves Bobby Flay and because
of her health concerns she is not able
to drive up to our area and try his burger joint.
So my Auntie and I made a pit stop
and loaded up with burgers, fries and onion rings.
Here are a few photos from Bobby's Burger Palace.
Shell and Jim both really enjoyed the food and we had a
delightful afternoon of talking and visiting.
I think we made her day and lifted her spirits !
Here is a photo of Shell and Jim from about a year ago.
Bobby's Burger Palace is at our local Mall.
Had time to run into Macy's and use my coupon !
Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? 2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
Philippians 2
