November 2018 December 2018

Ah November ~ I love you

Annual Byers Choice Visit

We had a wonderful visit !

Hubby crossing the bridge

Here is my Byers Choice display

We headed off to Lancaster with Aunt Rose to see our
annual Christmas Show at the American Music Theater.

We love this show.  The dresses and voices and set !

Aunt Rose and me in the lobby

We did some shopping

How about this candle ?   YUMMY

I did some seasonal baking

Apple Pumpkin Bread

We celebrated Thanksgiving in NYC with Gar's sister.

It was a nice day.

November did not disappoint.

And so much on our schedule for December ~ bring it on !

🎄🎅☃

Decorated our apartment

The little Elf with blue hat was on my childhood tree.
I think it was a take off on the old Gilette razor commericals.

Did more baking ~

First attempt at Gingerbread men.
A little shaky but I was happy with them

Saw these on a sweet Mom's blog.
Had to try them . . .
They were a big hit with the guys at church

GRINCH ❤ COOKIES

Every year we go to a Craft Show at a school near our church.
Can you believe how much this looks like my Judah ?

Hubby saw this on line thought I'd be interested.
Had no idea if we would enjoy it or not but took a chance.
So glad we did. It was awesome.
How they described with just words Christmases as a child.
You were truly mesmerized.  You could hear a pin drop in
the theater it was dead silent people were hanging on
every word.  Really wonderful !

After the play we went to our favorite Vietnamese place
and I ordered # 78  HAH  so delicious

How about this Gingerbread house?

We also saw the GRINCH again.
We saw it a few years ago
but this year I enjoyed it so much more.
The Actor was fantastic as the GRINCH

He was very funny you could hear a
theater full of children
belly laughing it was great !

I made a Christmas Ball out of my Christmas cards.
My dear Nana Phy taught us all how to make them.

So happy I still remembered.

I also made a snowman out of a beets jar.
I just could not see that jar being tossed away.

I love how he turned out

We had a lovely lunch with my
coworkers - Rob, Margie, Me, Lois, Kathy & Todd

Gary told me about Reuben and Clay were having a show.
I wasn't sure I wanted to go but I saw them on The Today Show
and thought they were so cute.

So off went:

They did not disappoint. It was very funny, charming and
touching and OH THOSE VOICES ! ! !

We went to another favorite  - 5 napkin burgers

Christmas Eve we were invited to Gar's cousins in
Mahopac NY.  It was snowing when we left so
"technically" I had a white Christmas Eve HAH

The food was outstanding and family time was fun!

We stopped on the way home for Christmas Eve
service at our church Maranatha

They decorate so beautifully. The music was amazing

A sad/but happy year for our congregation as we just had to
say goodbye for now to a dear member Gerry.
She was a delight !  So thankful I was able to meet her and spend
time with her - I was stunned to find out she was in her 80's.
She was the coolest dressed gal at our church. She wore jean jackets
and biker boots. I'm telling you she looked amazing. And best of
all she had the BIGGEST HEART FOR JESUS ❤

Meet you again in Glory one day Gerry

2018 also said goodbye to President Bush

I thought this cartoon was so poignant.

I am telling you the truth: he who believes has eternal life.
(John 6:47)

If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised
him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that
we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved.
 (Romans 10:9-10)

This also happened !   WOO HOO  🏈🏈🏈🏈

Hubby and I don't really exchange gifts.  We only do 1 or 2.
We would rather spend time together enjoying adventures.
Hence all the shows we went to for the Holiday season.

But my two gifts from him - I love ❤

Our boys got a Christmas Gift they absolutely love as you
will see how these photos progress LOL

We bought them these little ski lift chair beds.

Judah my fearless boy was immediately engaged.

While Percy my careful deep thinking boy had
to take time to trust it and explore

Then this happened

And after about an hour of caution this happened

Then this has been happening for the last hour or so

Both sound asleep zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I'd day Santa go it right !  🎅

This boy loves his Mom  ❤❤❤
