He is Risen Indeed !

We had a beautiful Easter Service at church today.

Last year I was down stairs with the children and I didn't

realize until service today how much I missed it last year.

The santuary looked just beautiful today.

I love the portrayl of the risen Jesus with the hole in His hand.
WOW powerful . . .
Life would not be worth living without our risen Savior.

This is my new favorite song

I know Who goes before me
I know Who stands behind
The God of angel armies
Is always on my side
The One who reigns forever
He is a Friend of mine
The God of angel armies
Is always by my side

Palm Sunday

I really like this actors portrayal of Jesus.
He is real, gentle and kind.
Yet strong and powerful.

The more I walk with the Lord the harder it is
to watch the crucifixtion portrayed. Rips my
heart out. Oh Lord forgive us .

.

I'm forgiven, because you were forsaken
I'm accepted, you were condemned
I'm alive and well, you're spirit is within me
Because you died and rose again

Amazing love, how can it be
That you my king would die for me
Amazing love, I know it's true
It's my joy to honor you
Amazing love, how can it be
That you My king would die for me
Amazing love, I know it's true
It's my joy to honor you
In all I do I honor you

We had a beautiful service at church today.
One of our members is an awesome artist.
He made these beautiful photos of the stations
of the cross. . .

I think this is my favorite one.
Something about the women touches me.

Here are a few more

Really looking forward to Holy Week.

HE HAS RISEN ! ! !

Blessings

I hope you all are having a blessed St Patrick's Day.
I'm not Irish but I have many dear friends who are.
I grew up with neighbors who were from Ireland
(accents and all hah)

Lovely lovely people.

My sweet hubby ordered us corn beef and cabbage
dinner from Shop Rite. They really make it good.
We had it last year also.

Today we saw a great movie at church

Time Changer
It was so good!

It is about a bible profession in the 1800's
who wrote a book and wants it published
with the blessings of his co-professors.
They all agree but one. He feels one
premise of the book is wrong.
You can't get by teaching morality without
telling people we are to live moral lives
because of Jesus.

So he is taken by a time machine 100 years
into the future.  He soon learns how
far "morality" without Christ has brought us.
Sin abounding.

We also have wonderful news of our next vacation.
We are going to:  Oahu !  Hawaii !

Oh I can't wait.  Bring on my Lei !

Looks like they have our chairs ready hah

Just so pretty.

We are going in April so it is not that far away !

Are you watching the bible series on TV.
It is good. I am enjoying it.
Can't wait until New Testament to see how they handle it.

Value People

I just had to post this.
So powerful.
A reminder to all of us,
not just Mom's
Life is so short
We need to value people

Dear Mom On the iPhone,

I see you over there on the bench, messing on your iPhone. It feels good to relax a little while your kids have fun in the sunshine, doesn’t it? You are doing a great job with your kids, you work hard, you teach them manners, have them do their chores.

But Momma, let me tell you what you don...
’t see right now…..

Your little girl is spinning round and round, making her dress twirl. She is such a little beauty queen already, the sun shining behind her long hair. She keeps glancing your way to see if you are watching her.

You aren’t.

Your little boy keeps shouting, “Mom, MOM watch this!” I see you acknowledge him, barely glancing his way.

He sees that too. His shoulders slump, but only for a moment, as he finds the next cool thing to do.

Now you are pushing your baby in the swing. She loves it! Cooing and smiling with every push. You don’t see her though, do you? Your head is bent, your eyes on your phone as you absently push her swing.

Talk to her. Tell her about the clouds, Mommy. The Creator who made them. Tickle her tummy when she comes near you and enjoy that baby belly laugh that leaves far too quickly.

Put your eyes back on your prize…Your kids.

Show them that they are the priority. Wherever you are, be ALL there. I am not saying it’s not ok to check in on your phone, but it’s a time-sucker: User Beware!

Play time at the park will be over before you know it.

The childhood of your children will be gone before you know it.

They won’t always want to come to the park with you, Mommy. They won’t always spin and twirl to make their new dress swish, they won’t always call out, “WATCH ME!”

There will come a point when they stop trying, stop calling your name, stop bothering to interrupt your phone time.

Because they know…

You’ve shown them, all these moments, that the phone is more important than they are. They see you looking at it at while waiting to pick up brother from school, during playtime, at the dinner table, at bedtime…..

I know that’s not true, Mommy.

I know your heart says differently.

But your kids can’t hear your words, Mommy. Your actions are screaming way too loudly.

May our eyes rest upon those we love, first and foremost, and may everything else fall away in the wonderful, noisy, sticky-fingered glory of it all.

I Can Just Feel Spring in the Air ! ! !

Woke up today and although it is not
necessarily sunny and warm. I can
still sense Spring is around the corner.

I saw my first Robin today.
It wasn't these but are they not precious?

Love these strong little crocus's.

All this Spring inspired me to decorate the
apartment hah

Bye bye snowman and let it snow

This little doll is my Baby Be Blessed Doll

I got it with my doggie's Solomon's name
and a bible verse because I knew one day
he'd be with Jesus and I wanted the memory.

I picked up this cute little bunny candle holder today
at Kohl's.  I put eggs inside instead of a candle.

Love this little bunny.

Cute little face.

This one was in my husbands family.
My mother-in-law gave it to me.
I treasure it as I love to have things from
my husbands side in our home.

Some bunny needs a treat !

And a cute cake dish with hanging eggs.
Got this at Kohls years ago after Easter Sale.
It was so inexpensive felt like a steal.

I'm a big fan of pooh and couldn't resist this
adorable Pooh bunny.

We did some shopping today at Kohl's and
I picked up my first pair of cowboy boots.
Original price & 69.99 my price $ 13.99

Tonight we are heading to Carrabba's

So HELLO Spring we are ready for you !
