Holy Week

Had a blessed Holy Week starting with a
beautiful Good Friday service at my church.

We worshipped and shared communion as the
body of Christ. It was lovely.

Saturday we visited with some dear friends from PA.
Had a lovely time enjoyed their company.

Easter Sunday ~ Resurrection Day

My husband and I were blessed to serve down
stairs with the children. But being at the principal
desk I got to view the service on the TV screen.

Then we were invited to dinner with hubby's
family.  His Aunt Rose treated us.

 Buon Amici in White Plains.

They have delicious food.
Stuffed clams, stuffed peppers, eggplant appetizers.
Oh gosh the Italian bread was sooo good !

Hubby and I both chose the same dish hah
Shrimp, chicken with garlic and ziti.

For desert I had an amazing chocolate cake !

Hubby chose cheese cake - he loves it

It was a blessed week we are very fortunate.

First 70 degree day - 2014

After an early morning doing our laundry
and a delicious breakfast at the:

Yellow Rose Diner

They have wonderful food and it is a real
local old time joint.

Our waitress knows exactly what we drink and brings
it over before we even speak with her.  Great service.

Then we headed home and it was time to do the annual
" closest reorganize".

Bye Bye Winter . . .

Hello Summer  . . .

After my task was done it was time to enjoy the long awaited
sunshine and visit with my Auntie on her deck.
First day of 70 degrees this year.
We had a long, cold snowy winter.

We visited for a while, chatted and had a ton of laughs.
She told me some hysterical stories about her 93 year old
customer.  What a character this gal is. Love to meet her.

Auntie treated me to a "cold one"  I turned her on to
these drinks. hah  She insisted "I don't like coffee cold"
~  well,  not anymore hah she is also addicted.

She gave me two pair of Clark clogs.
A dear friend from church bought them
and they hurt her feet.  She gave them
to Auntie they are like brand new.
Auntie said they are too wide for her
and they fit me just right !
What a blessing ! I was just saying I
need to buy some shoes for work.
In the warm weather I have terrible problems
with my ankles and feet swelling from my
medication.  But these will fit perfectly.
God already is providing for our needs !

Hubbies 7 year "temp" job ended Friday.

We are trusting fully in the Lord to provide a new
job for him. We are excited to see what Jesus will do.

So I got busy helping him apply for his
unemployment benefits.

And my God will fully supply your every need according to his glorious riches
in the Messiah Jesus.  Philippians 4:19

In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:6

We had a coupon and Auntie gave us a gift card
so we headed to Big Dave's BBQ

Oh my word ~ words can't describe how good these
biscuits are.  buttery garlic goodness.

I had the ribs and chicken ~ really good.
Enough left overs for two more meals.

It was a lovely restful blessed day.

THANK YOU LORD

RIP John Pinette

RIP John Pinette - so saddened by your death. You made me laugh until I cried. A real belly laugh where you cannot even breath. So glad I got to see you live and I will continue to enjoy your comedy ~ your stories will live on. .

I "HEART" Christian Events !

Last weekend we saw:
God Is Not Dead
Great movie.
I enjoyed seeing Kathie Lee Gifford's daughter Cassidy
in her acting debut.  She did a great job. Adorable girl.

This weekend I went to this conference.
It was wonderful !  This church is about an hour 15 minutes
from my home. So I was able to leave work 1/2 hour early
and I figured it I picked up my Aunt and flew up the Parkway
I could make it by 6:45.  Well it was pouring rain and I
didn't plan on the traffic that would cause. My goodness it
was bumper to bumper the entire ride. I was watching the
clock tick tick ticking away.  But by pure Grace of God and
a near miracle we pulled into the parking lot at 7 pm on the
dot.   We rain through the pouring rain and met my friend,
grabbed a seat and the first note of the first worship song
started.  God is so Good.  I could not believe we made it.
TOTALLY a God thing.  No way with that traffic would I
have ever believed we would make it.

I get an email devotion from these ladies and it was
so nice to see them in person.
They were honest, real and wonderful.

The Hawthorne Gospel church is so beautiful.
I had never been to this church before.

Here is a photo I found on face book.
We are on the bottom right 2nd to last row.
Auntie in Green, Me in Pink and my friend Simone next to me.

Here are a few things that were said that really moved me:

When you desire God as much as you desire air you'll find Him.

Our "dirt" makes us desperate for God - don't despise it.

Failure is not final. It is a beginning.

You can't change your action without changing your mind.
(Bible tells us to renew your mind)

God uses our past to develop me not to define me.

God calls us beyond our ability

God used just any old bush
