Hiding in the dresser Mom wants to move

Hubby and I went to Fort Monmouth to an auction today.
Fort Monmouth was a military base that has been around my
whole life.  They closed it a few years ago and moved everyone
to Maryland.   It was sad as we were rooting through all the stuff.
I bought this little bowl and wondered how many young men or
women serving our country may have used it.
Did they come home?
Growing up on Main Street then Lake Drive Fort Monmouth was
always present.  They had several pews from the chapel and I
thought of all the folks who worshipped there and all the prayers
and tears shed for loved ones.
Glad I found this little bowl -
it will serve as a great reminder and to stay grateful.

My coworker of 25 years retired 8/31
This was a big adjustment for me.
We sat next to each other all those years.
Worked so well together.

She is going to be so missed !

Looking forward to what Autumn has to bring . . .
