Lititz, PA Trip

Hubby and I were looking for something
inexpensive to do. Originally I thought of
going to Delaware to the outlets for an
overnight to shop etc . . . But the hotel
prices were crazy (summertime UGH)

So hubby did his "research" and found
this great little town right by Lancaster PA.

Lititz !
It was voted the America's Coolest Small Town

Before our journey began we needed a
good breakfast. Decided to try a quaint
little place in  Bradley Beach.

The Buttered Biscuit Cafe'

The food was delicious !

Hubby enjoys his "dippy" eggs.

I am trying to eat healthy

Then we were off to PA.
We stayed in Lancaster because we booked
a really reasonable hotel.

View outside our window.

Shopped at QVC, Kohl's and the outlets.

Got some good buys at QVC.
2 dresses, a blouse, sneakers and a grill pan (for Gar)
$ 60.00  WOW  love it

Wonderful dinner at Cracker Barrel. I had Haddock.
I am beginning to really enjoy fish.

Up early on Saturday AM to head to Litiz.

Again a good breakfast - Bob Evans

 I love this place

Hubby "dippy" eggs - do we see a theme?
He also loves the crepes.

My healthy attempt -  Wow is this me?
Oatmeal and fruit - go girl

We got a little "lost" went North instead of South hah
But we were able to view more of the area.

Then with a little help from some sweet local folks
we found out way.

First stop the Wilbur Chocolate Factory, Candy Store
and Museum.

Here's hubby heading in.
They had neat old chocolate molds and
beautiful tea pots, tins and you get
a sample of the famous Wilbur chocolate bud.
The dark chocolate was my favorite.

See the Easter bunny tins?

Ladies making the candy

My goodness the minute you step outside the car you
smell  "CHOCOLATE"

Then we visited this local park. It was just beautiful

Adorable playground for the children

Hubby loves his trains
See him riding the rails ?  hah

Then made our way down Main Street.

Toured the old historic museums

How's this for a washing machine.

Puzzle piece clock. 2 years to make.
It was remarkable.

Met a lovely "senior" couple working at the
museum at the Moravian Square..

Learned all about the Moravian Church and
faith and how they settled in Lititz

How's this for a fire truck

Beautiful wedding gown.  Small waisted bride hah

Back to NJ and a delicious dinner at 10th Ave Burrito.
Oh the pork mole' is divine!

It was a wonderful two days.

Always fun to take these quick, inexpensive trips.
