Fall's arrival & St Simons GA Trip

So excited - FALL  🎃

I did some baking because tis the season'

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins
3 ingredients
Pumpkin
Spice Cake Mix
Chocolate Chips

They were yummy

My Aunt and I went to Beth Moore Simulcast
It is always wonderful ~ we learned a lot

Beth spoke about us being the church the bride of Christ.
Look at all these lovely ladies from so many countries.

During the simulcast they had videos of each lady above speaking
about Jesus in their native languages it was so beautiful.

Beth provided a link that we could download this photo. I added
myself in the ME box as below.   I am going to frame it.

Then we had a big day at church.

This sweet boy got baptized
He is one of my husbands Sunday School students
Just a precious little soul

He told me, "Did you see me smiling so big
when I came up out of the water !"   AWWW

Then we had a very special wedding.
These sweet folks got married.
The Lord has really been faith and restored the
years . . .  Joel 2:25-26

They are both widows 💔  and have been so faithful
to the Lord during their times of grief.

Then the Lord brought them together and now
they are married  👰 💕 it makes my heart
so glad !

Hubby and I went to see this movie.
It was good. Very moving.

We like to support the faith based movies.
Keep them coming . . .

We went to the Armenian picnic at Gars families church

They always have the best food.

They have a big setup - a lot of work

This is the grill area where they cook the
chicken, lamb and lulu's which are like little
meat loafs

This is the where you get in line and pick up
your food. I always get chicken I am not a
lamb eater.  Gar likes it.  The guy in the red
ball cap is Gary's cousin Bob.

This area they sell the desserts
They also have a raffle table with items
brought back from Armenia

We really miss Gar's Mom when we go to the picnic.
She made the best Armenian food.

Look at this old photo Gar's Cousin found and sent us.
I was able to pick out Gar's Mom and Dad even though I
never met his Dad.

St Simons Georgia Trip

Tuesday we were up early and left for our
flight  ✈to Savannah

Don't worry these two rascals stayed at home with
cat sitter  She really enjoyed them

We arrived in plenty of time to have breakfast.

We also have the TSA-Pre CK and it great.
Right through the line : )  well worth the cost

We figured we would grab a quick bagel with butter.

HOLY COW

It was literally dripping with butter
Now this girl likes her butter but this was crazy !

Our flight was delayed an hour
as our plane didn't show up on time

But soon we were off . . .

Arrived in Savannah

We never realized we looked like twins in our outfits
until we looked at this photo - it was not planned

Then we walked around Savannah
a bit to show my Aunt

Gar with Johnny Mercer

Gar with an old car

Notice the jacket tied around his waist
honestly it was in the 90's and roasting
but Gar is always cold never goes
anywhere without his jacket HAH

Meanwhile the wife was ready to expire !

Savannah pier

We had lunch at Paula Deen's

Oh how I love these Fried Green Tomatos

Aunt Rose

After lunch we headed to St Simons

Checked into our hotel

Great location by the pier and shops

Headed to dinner at Blackwater Grill
They have the best Georgia Shrimp

First time Aunt Rose got to try
Brunswick Stew

And my hubby loves his
Low Country Boil

Wednesday AM up early
for breakfast at a local joint we enjoy
Mallery Street Cafe'

We were headed into Brunswick Georgia to show
my Aunt the downtown area and to shop shop
shop at Belk

We don't have Belk in NJ and we love this
treasure.  Oh gosh the discounts.

Down Town Area

BELK

We all found such great buys at Belk.

Only problem is we weren't sure we'd get all our
finds in our suitcases hah

Gar and I always stop for a cold drink
at Daddy Cate's

Then we headed back to the island.

For dinner tonight we went to a
great place about 2 blocks from
our hotel

Barbara Jeans

They have what I call old fashioned
food.  It's what I remember having
at our church pot luck suppers when
I was a child

Things like:
Squash Casserole
Ambrosia
Red Beans & Rice
Chicken Fried Chicken

Then we had the nerve to get some
ice cream HAH - My Aunts idea.

I had peach cobbler ice cream dripping
in chocolate fudge  ~  when in Georgia !

Thursday we were headed to
visit family.  My Aunt and
cousins live in Jacksonville.

First an early breakfast at another
favorite.  Palmer's Village Cafe'

We picked up my Aunt at her house in
Jacksonville FL and met everyone in
St Augustine's

Our whole group in the photo below.

(Gosh seems like all we do is eat !  HAH )

Aunt Linda is on the left next to Gary
blonde hair and glasses.

Cousin Bobby and his girlfriend Layla

Cousin Kim and her husband Ellis

Aunt Rose and I with Cousin Bobby

Bobby and I commiserate with football in the Fall
between my DALLAS COWBOYS & his
JACKSONVILLE JAGS  hah

We had a blessed time hanging out with them.
They haven't been to NJ in a long time so they
were so excited to spend time with Aunt Rose.
Their Dad, Aunt Rose's brother and my Uncle
Billy passed away several years ago.

Drove back to St Simons from FL and had dinner
at Brogans.  First time for all of us.

It was good - like a sports bar.

They had delicious zucchini fries.

Our last day of vacation - Friday

Breakfast again at Palmer's

We had plans to shop locally and enjoy all the pier has to offer
and take the St Simons Trolley Tour
Gar and I had taken it twice over the years and wanted so much
for Aunt Rose to enjoy it

Our tour guide was great so knowledgeable.

Gar loves these little tiny shops

Here are miscellaneous photos of us enjoying
the scenery and pier

Sunset one of the nights

The pier great for fishing and
watching the local pelicans

See him on the post ?

We did see a school of dolphin
one afternoon

The beautiful lighthouse

Lighthouse in the night

The beach

The sunset was spectacular
every single night
