Mom thought for sure I'd like the water,

but don't tell her I really had no interest.

These people tried to walk me to death.

Thank God I found this nice cool green grass to relax a bit.

I know, I know, I've been told before I am just to big to be a lap dog.

Mom really wanted me to see South of the Border.

But as you can see I am very interested in a pole about 2 feet away !

I didn't like it when my Mom left the car for any reason.

Well, back to New Jersey.Mom said I was a really good little traveler.

Green Thumb ? maybe !

So excited. My hubby gave me a little rose bush full of red roses about a year ago. I was determined to keep it alive. I have not had any success keeping the indoor bushes alive.
I painstakingly loved and cared for this little bush. Two of the stems died off and I was so concerned that I was losing it. But the third one hung in there. And here it is spring a year later and I have 3 red roses coming ! So excited ! Isn't it beautiful . . .

Memories

My Uncle Billy passed away last week. While it was a difficult sad time it was also a blessing to spend time with family that we have not seen in years and years.

Here is a photo of me and my Uncle when I was a teenager.









He was a volunteer firemen and they gave him such a wonderful service.

They rode his casket on the firetruck from the funeral home to the firehouse.

All the firemen were outside saluting him when we pulled up.

So thankful for the Lord who works all things out for our good.

We know where Uncle Billy is, and look forward to the day

when we see him again.

Hair cut & mittons

Finally received my Olympic mittons. hah I know better late than never. But wow it is very cold this weekend in NJ so I think they are not too late. We got a "his & her" pair. Ordered them on ebay. My poor husband. He hasn't worn his yet. hah Wonder if he will ? hah I love mine. They are very warm. We are planning to take a trip to Vancouver in Sept, Lord willing, I want to see some of the Olympic locations. I really enjoyed it this year.

This is my new hair cut. Not a great photo but you can get the idea. I wanted a bob that was layered. I haven't had layered hair in years. I was sick of the same one length doo. hah

I like it. So much quicker to dry and style.

Sunshine & Visit From Cousin

We had a beautiful weekend in NJ. It was sunshine and warmth. What a blessing after this hectic winter. My little cousin Conor came to visit.
He is so dear. He has the blondest curly hair. Just like his Mom, my cousin Jen.

Lancaster PA weekend

Rainy, windy, stormy weekend in NJ. Hubby and I had tickets to a Southern Gospel concert in Lancaster PA. We decided to go no matter what the weather held. We saw The Booth Brothers & Gold City. It was a fantastic concert. We had a blast. Lots of singing, clapping & laughing.

We shopped at the outlets in Lancaster during the day before the concert.

We are so glad we didn't let the rain deter us.

We had such a good time. I purchased a picture

as a keepsake memory of our weekend . . .

Productive Days . . .oh how sweet !

Had a good productive day today. Did the laundry, picked up Easter cards, did some shopping at Kohl's got some great sales, put away winter sweaters and took out capri's and shirts, cleaned the car real good, (oh my gosh the winter snow and ice made it a mess) decorated the apartment with Spring and Easter stuff. Looks so cheerful now. Took my doggie for a walk and sat outside with him (first semi warm day made it to 50) He is now exhausted. He is so funny, sitting on the sofa trying desperately to keep his eyes open and head up. But he is losing this one. Went to Charley Brown's for dinner with my husband. Shrimp & ribs . . . so good.

A nice lady at Kohl's gave me her 30% off coupon because mine was 15%. What a blessing. Thank you Lord, I know it is your favor smiling down on me.

Productive days. . . they just make you feel so good !
