Dinner With Friends

We had a wonderful dinner out with our friends Bob and Cindy.

We went a local place called "Salt Creek Grille"

This is the outside deck.  Just lovely.

It is located on the Navesink River in Rumson, NJ.

It is a rare treat when we go to this restaurant as it is
a bit out of our normal price range.
But once in a while it is good to "splurge".

Back view if you sit at a window seat you overlook the river.
So pretty and relaxing.

The decor is just warm and cozy.

We arrived and had dinner early before the crowds.
We were blessed to get a table with a view.

This is the Rumson Bridge, it takes you to Navesink River Rd
This is the street where several celebrities have lived.
Jon Bon Jovi still lives there. At one time Maury Povich and
Connie Chung and Geraldo Riveria lived there.
It was rumored that Whitney Houston had a house built there
but never moved into it. Not sure if that was true.
(A little local fun)

The food was really delicious.
You can tell a good restaurant from the "normal"
everyday places we eat. LOL

We started with the:
Salt Creek House Salad
Granny Smith’s, Tomato, Gorgonzola, Glazed Walnuts and Balsamic Vinaigrette on Baby Greens
I ordered the:
Rock Shrimp Risotto – Sweet corn, Basil and Kale
My hubby had the:
Pan Seared Soy Atlantic Salmon
Brown Rice With Almonds and Baby Bok Choy

We had a nice time visiting and catching up with our friends.
Cindy and I have known each other since we were 8 years old.
She and Bob have a sweet son named David.
Gary and I use to babysit him once in a while when he was younger.
We always had such a fun time with David.
He's a great kid.

I know that good friends are a blessing from the Lord.

Psalm 24:5
He shall receive a blessing from the LORD And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
